BACKGROUND SUMMARY  (top)

More than 30 years of diversified experience working in the welding technology field.  Knowledgeable about welding metallurgy and the weldability of commercial alloys. Trained in the use of various documents, specifications and standards that are used in the welding industry. Expertise in the GTAW process. Reputation for maintaining the highest possible quality.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS  (top)

     • Developed tooling for various weldments and implemented into production. Evaluated savings to programs ranging from $1000.00 to $12,000.00 dollars.

     • Lead man for major projects. Established procedures for the fabrication of complex
weldments.

     • Performed the GTAW process on titanium weldments in a chambered environment. Following NDE, the weldments were used for research and development of a classified armaments project.

     • Fabricated 72 cantrail roof sections each 40 feet long. The material used was 5mm core ten steel. These roof sections were a sub-assembly for the fabrication of 18 car sets of light rail trains for the Maryland Transit Authority.

     • Trained personnel and developed processes for the purpose of performing structural revisions on vehicles used for mass transit. Following training, the welders would qualify for vertical and overhead positions, using the GMAW process in the pulsed arc mode.

     • Passed four ( NADCAP ) National Aerospace And Defense Contractors Accreditation Program audits, conducted by ( PRI ) Performance Review Institute an affiliate of ( SAE ).
